Before entering the competition, please read the following rules and guidelines. Submissions that do not adhere to the regulations set out below may be disqualified.
Photographers must be women (including QUEER women)
The title of the series must be provided and each series can have up to 5 photos
The photographer must submit their photo series while registering.
Gehendra Dhimal Foundations employees and immediate family members are ineligible to enter the competition.
Series must be the original work, where the photographer must have full legal ownership of the material and be allowed to enter the competition.
To ensure anonymity, the series must be submitted without the photographer(s) name.
There is no limit to the number of series or categories submissions allowed, by a single photographer. However, each series and categories are a separate fee.
Resubmissions of material are allowed but require a separate fee.
All submissions are electronic submissions only.
All entries are non-refundable, once submitted.
Feedback is not issued.
All entries must be uploaded in size 300 dpi, up to 10 MB file size, JPEG file type.
Photographers should mention if there has been any post-production carried on the submitted photos of the series.
All deadlines listed are at 11:59pm NPT, without exception.
Decisions of the winning series, made by the judges are final.
By submitting to the competition, all competing photographers agree to having their name, series’s title and photographs be used for marketing purpose, promotions, fundraising purpose and photobook published and distributed by Gehendra Dhimal Foundation and its affiliates.
Gehendra Dhimal Foundation asserts no ownership of submitted entries, nor any option on this material. All ownership to such material remains with the original rights holder(s) however usage rights of the photo submitted is granted to the foundation for three years.
By entering this competition, the submitter must have full permission to do so from any person, individual or organization involved in as well as should bear full responsibilities by the photographer if any legal issues arise from it.
All applicant photographer’s photo series of each category can be used to create a Photobook that will be available in market that will be a fundraiser for the foundation. And by submitting to the competition photographers agrees provide the photographs user rights for up to 3 years to be published in photobook and make it a fundraiser for the foundation.
Winning candidates’ photographs will be kept for sale in various media and sizes as a fundraising for the foundation and 10% royalty will be given to the photographer.
The photos that have been previously used for commercial purpose will not be accepted and if found then will be disqualified.
