Before entering the competition, please read the following rules and guidelines. Submissions that do not adhere to the regulations set out below may be disqualified.
Designers must be women (including Queer women)
The title of the sequence must be provided
The designer must submit their sketch of the design while registering.
If the applicant is a student, then must submit a letter from School /College / University / Instituted validating their claim.
Gehendra Dhimal Foundations employees, and immediate family members are ineligible to enter the competition.
Sequences/Designs must be the original work, where the designer must have full legal ownership of the material and be allowed to enter the competition.
To ensure anonymity, the sequence must be submitted without the designer(s) name on the cover page. Cover page should include only the title of the sequence.
There is no limit to the number of sequence submissions allowed, by a single Designer. Each sequence should have no more than 5 designs. However, each sequence is a separate fee.
Resubmissions of material is allowed, but requires a separate fee.
All submissions are electronic submissions only.
All entries are non-refundable, once submitted.
Feedback is not issued.
All entries must be uploaded in PDF format.
Co-designer are allowed. Each Designer’s name should be entered at the time of submission.
All deadlines listed are at 11:59pm NPT, without exception.
Decisions of the winning sequence, made by the judges are final.
All prizes are awarded in sequence. Where sequences are submitted to design teams, it is the responsibility of the team to divide the prizes amongst themselves.
By submitting to the competition, winners and finalists agree to having their name, Design title, and picture be used for marketing purposes or promotions, or fundraising purposes by Gehendra Dhimal Foundation and its affiliates.
Gehendra Dhimal Foundation asserts no ownership of submitted entries, nor any option on this material. All ownership and rights to such material remains with the original rights holder(s).
By entering this competition, the submitter must have full permission to do so from any and all co-writers and attachments to the script.
Sort-listed candidates will be called for the interviews. During the interview, they should bring a sample of the materials that will be used for their work.
Winning designer must submit two pairs for the runway and one complete set (XS, S, M, L, and XL) of winning sequences by 28th Feb 2023
